13 Jul 2009 - Circus Day
Circus Day
On Monday 13th July the children of Fernhill Primary School had a very exciting day. We were lucky enough to be visited by Mike from SPLATS who spent the day teaching us circus skills.
We had an assembly where, with some help from Ms Oliver, he showed us what we would be doing during the day. He worked with each class in turn and the children and their teachers had a go at juggling, Diablo, balancing peacock feathers and plate spinning. In many cases the children were better than the adults!
The children had a very enjoyable day improving their circus skills and lots of the maths and literacy that they have done this week has had a circus theme. We were pleased that the children enjoyed themselves so much and it was good to find out about other talents that our children have!
